I qualified from St. Georges Medical School in 2000. I originally trained as a surgeon. I made the switch to General Practice in 2006. Training for this included six-month hospital attachments in A&E, Paediatrics and Psychiatry.

Since qualifying as a GP, I have taken a year out to acquire a diploma in sports and exercise medicine, which has enabled me to also work for the local musculoskeletal service. I have experience in assessing such cases, performing steroid injections and prescribing exercise.
