I qualified from St. Georges Medical School in 2000. I originally trained as a surgeon. I made the switch to General Practice in 2006. Training for this included 6 month hospital attachments in A & E, Paediatrics and Psychiatry.
Since qualifying as a GP, I took a year out to acquire a diploma in sports and exercise medicine, which has enabled me to also work for the local musculoskeletal service. I have experience in assessing such cases, performing steroif injections and prescribing exercise.
